Any over nights for the Indycar and Nascar races?

I do not expect the over nights for Homestead to be all that good.

Unfortunately, I expect them to be above average. Some people have a morbid curiousity.

Ain't that the truth - I remember folk at work talking about F1 who'd never taken an interest before in the week after Imola '94.

The fact that the first hundred or so laps were pretty tame compared to the last 20 would probably have had rubberneckers switching channels, though.

I don't know if it will affect this race but I expect St Pete to be up. IMHO the death of Dale Earnhardt was the biggest thing to ever happen to NASCAR. They were big when when he had his accident but it exploded after his death. I think part of the reason NASCAR blew up is becuase of all of the press that his death got and then people turned in to see what it was all about and they got hooked.

I don't wish anything similar happen to the IRL. I would rather it wallow in obscurity if that was what it would take to make it mainstream.

Well the NCAA was great. Bristol was more about the yellow flag and TPC was good but no Tiger.

Great, but "above average" ratings for the IRL still suck.

                That's what I was thinking.

Bristol watchers watched a yellow flag marathon.
                          Homestead watchers watched a race.

Even after tragedy. Still finding time to take shots at NASCAR.
