Maybe Atlantics ought to run in the 500.

Take all those cars and multiply by the sales price. Yikes.

At least there'd be legitimate bumping.

Are all 4,852 of them, or whatever the number is this week, going to be on the track at the same time come LB?

They'll make the big money off the spares, the $3.1M will be a drip in the bucket to that over the next 5 years,

Ask Nostradamus....or wait until the green flag drops to find out, like the rest of us.

I still think there's a strong chance they could replace CC next year. Because of lack of buyers they decide not to go w/the new CC chassis. They replace CC with Atlantics at the venues. It's another way of fulfilling existing contracts for a year until the merger details get worked out as well.

You can't tell me that 90% of the "fans" that show up at San Jose, Houston or Denver could even tell the difference unless the cars were on the track at the same time. Plus Atlantics could well put on a better show, with 30+ cars on the track & a smaller, more manageable (for racing on city streets) package.

I don't think anyone could ever tell you that. Regardless, Atlantics is not going to replace Champ Car. Doesn't matter what anyone here thinks about the product.

Actually, I think the response to the new Atlantics spec sends Champcar a totally different message. If they model the the 2007 CWS program much like the new Swift and the new Atlantics program, they'd be able to have just as much interest for 2007. In effect, they'd have 2 very healthy series under one sanctioning body. How long has it been since one OW sanctioning body has been able to lay claim that ??
