I saw on Jyski that Sirius radio is dropping their sponsorship of the Cup race at Watkins Glen. Maybe not the biggest news but the second part

Sirius drops Watkins Glen sponsorship: Satellite radio provider Sirius, the title sponsor of the NASCAR Nextel Cup race at the track the last four years, has dropped its sponsorship of the race, WGI Senior Manager of Public Relations Eiron Smith said Tuesday. "Sirius is no longer our title sponsor for the NASCAR event," she said.

Smith said Glen officials were informed of Sirius' decision about a month ago, with the information coming to them through Daytona-based International Speedway Corp., which owns Watkins Glen International
I think really relates to the IRL not going back to Phoenix and California Speedway. The people running Phoenix and California acted like they were doing there best to find a date for the IRL and blah blah blah. They weren't sitting where the decisions on major activities for their tracks were made anymore than the people at Watkins Glen. And whether or not the IRL goes back to those tracks will come as news to the people who run them.
"You can't arrest those guys, they're folk heroes"
    "They're criminals"
"Well most folk heroes started out as criminals"

Why would you be surprised? ISC is no different than any other family business gone public.
