I have it on good authority that all Grand American Series races are... FAKED!
You heard it right! Just like the moon landings! Except instead of a sound stage where they filmed the landings, the Grand Am races are in fact conducted on Cray Supercomputers using top-secret "black ops" simulator engines written by David Kaemmer. Then they have a bunch of race drivers suit up and hang out trackside for interviews in front of a green screen that projects the racing action behind them!
