Look, we all know the crap that's happening right now, why don't we look to try and find solutions instead of fight?
Here's mine. Discuss at will.
Control/Ownership
30% Tony George
15% Kevin Kalkhoven
15% Gerry Forsythe
20% Donald Panoz
20% Roger Penske
Independent Operator runs the series, person who has no financial interest in either side of the split. My pick is Mario Andretti.
Technical Regulations
2007 Champ Car rules are the basis of the technical rules, though the engines are totally different. They are based off of Formula 1 2.4L engine blocks. Twin turbocharged with roughly 55 inches of boost, shooting for circa 900 horsepower. Chassis from Lola, Panoz and Dallara, engines from Honda, Cosworth (badged as Ford) and Ilmor (badged as Dodge or Mercedes-Benz). Engine leasing is not allowed, period. Engines can be bought assembled or as kits and built by independent builders, and must be offered in both forms to all teams.
