Where's Racewriter's response? Board says one response by him; when I clicked to see the thread, it was gone... I don't see it..."I didn't hear a single comment about airboxes, "carbashians", or how terrible the car looked. I did see dozens and dozens of little kids in awe of the speed and how cool the cars looked. We should learn from our children."

I was having to lift off the corners some here." - Buddy Rice

As is, I didn't mean to hijack this thread. I opened it because I was curious what his response was.
Personally, I think Mooresville should go for some of these teams, just to confuse the snot out of the national media..."I didn't hear a single comment about airboxes, "carbashians", or how terrible the car looked. I did see dozens and dozens of little kids in awe of the speed and how cool the cars looked. We should learn from our children."

On topic.
It might make sense for NASCAR teams that don't have mammoth facilities in NC to consider the move. The main reason being travel, as NASCAR has dropped races at North Wilkesboro, Rockingham, Darlington and added Chicago and Kansas to Michigan, Watkins Glen and Indianapolis. They test at Kentucky Speedway all the time and could go to Milwaukee and Gateway more often since they are non Cup tracks. Busch goes to Gateway and Milwaukee.
In the old days the Wood brothers were in Virginia by themselves and Bill Elliott's shop were in Dawsonville Georgia. This allowed them to keep any tricks they developed from moving to other teams with employees that changed teams. Everyone consolidated around Mooresville to get access to suppliers and qualified employees. Maybe now with the rules so strict some teams might want to get away from everyone else to hold onto anything special they come up with."You can't arrest those guys, they're folk heroes"
"They're criminals"
"Well most folk heroes started out as criminals"
