I'd say this is pretty close to the same wording that's been used to shutdown most of the local dirt tracks in my area. In fact, Ken Schraeders I-55 has been recieving some flack withing the past couple years and the nearest housing around that place is at least 3/4 of a mile away and there's a pretty substantial ridge inbetween.

Geez, an old historic race track like that which was probably there before any of the residents who bought those homes was even born. Same thing happens around a lot of airports in the U.S. People buy homes near the airport, then complain about low-flying planes and noise. Duh. Incredible.

Nothing new here. It's not even the real Monza anymore. We've had a whole history of tracks and events being nutered and then disgarded.

Oh, I'm certainly not saying it isn't incredibly sad, but this has happened so many times to so many great circuits that all I can do anymore is shake my head and sigh.

I agree to an extent Doc....after the Hockenhiem track was dismantled I began to disengage with series like F1. But it is sad none the less if this happens.....or maybe we just continue to get old and disenchanted
