Auto Research Center to Expand, Create High-Tech Jobs
The groundbreaking on a new facility for Indianapolis-based Auto Research Center LLC yesterday is being hailed as the largest expansion of a motorsports company in Indiana since the state began focusing on the industry as an area of key potential growth. The multi-million dollar expansion of the company's wind tunnel operation could eventually lead to as many as 70 new high-tech jobs in the coming years. Indiana Motorsports Development Director Matt Steward says the expansion can be leveraged to help further Indiana’s motorsports initiative. Auto Research Center Chairman Adrian Reynard says the research that will be done at the new facility has wider applications for the automobile industry.
