The 2006 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach is gearing up to be arguably the event’s biggest edition yet, with key novelties added to ensure non-stop action for the weekend’s three-day duration.
Headlining the novelties for ’06 is what’s being branded as a “Super Saturday”, which will include Champ Car World Series qualifying and a 90-minute Grand-Am Rolex Series race which will cram 30 Daytona Prototypes into the street circuit’s tight confinements. It will mark Grand-Am’s first-ever street event, while also giving LB fans the chance to see mid-race driver’s changes for the first time."
