Reunified NAOWRS called “something catchy that doesn’t necessarily have Indy in the name”
Three Amigo’s are two (there choice which two) of the 10 people on the board, but have no special powers, other than the board vote. TG is head of IMS, and stays there, but other than a vote on the board, has no other real powers. Most of the rest of the board is made up of non-team owners who are in some form of management within the league. (Saftey, Standards, Marketing, etc.) New leader of the series who has no stake in either camp, and is a long term fan of open wheel racing. (gonna be hard to find)
Standardized on a spec chassis similar to the new Panoz chassis Champ Car has, but allow teams to get them from any number of manufacturers. Car makers come in with a Chassis maker, and Engine maker. Honda-Dallaria-Honda, Toyota-Panoz-Ilmar, Ford-Lola-Cosworth, etc. This will allow for slightly different, tho still spec, looks to different manufacturers, and allow for more true ‘development’ within the league, which is one thing Honda, and Toyota want. Some of the companies with more budget (Honda?) may even elect to make there own Chassis as well as engine, and not rely on a company like Dallaria.
Drop MIPS, and move Atlantics to the primary road track support league at 10 of the 22 races +2-3 with partner series. Partner with someone like Rolex Sportscar, or ALMS also at many of the events. Get with Honda, and Toyota SCION, and have tuner/show competitions bundled with series races, bringing the young, new racing crowd to the tracks. Bring up a new, Prototype like spec chassis class with big engines (4L, or something) as an Oval support league.
Unified schedule with 22 races in 8 months (2nd week in March to 2nd week in October) keeping Surfers Paradise, Toronto, and Mexico City. Dropping Sears point, San Jose, Edmonton, Korea, and a few others.
Totally new points system than what either series has. Keep the IRL’s Road/Street qualifying.
I’m still sick, so that’s all the mental strain I can put my brain through.
