  • Red Bull Team Cheever Budget

Anyone got any clues what its like? I cant say im too sure of their involvement, it seems like in the last two years not only is the team getting smaller, so is the money (just based on ad space)

I would imagine that all of last year's and most of this year's budget went into replacing chassis (what's plural for chassis???) for Hannibal Scheckter.

Ed Cheever Jr. tore up his share of equipment last year also.

Cheever is an F1 veteran who actually owned the cars and crashed less than Wreckter.

          No comparison.

I thought Scheckter hit the wall while leading the Kansas race. Or was it because of a flat tire?

Me thinks Cheever is getting withdraws from not racing. He needs to get back in the saddle. He's in good shape. He was asked by ABC if he was going to race for the last three races of the season, and he said he would like too, but his primary focus was on Buddy Rice. I think his primary focus should be with himself getting back in the car by at least California. He's got unfinished business there...

                  Cheever should quit.

He was getting beat by both Rice & Scheckter last season.

No shame in being too old to drive. Plenty of shame in insisting to drive when you can't get it done.

                      That sort of rhymes.

Yes, sir, but he wouldn't have wrecked as much if Sheckter wasn't around. Here he comes again.

IIRC, nowadays, Paul's racing SCCA guys in Trans-Am spec equipment. Does he race anyone else on a similar budget any more, and how does he stack up to them?

Very few drivers get better as they age... ya think Mario or AJ were as good the last ten years of their careers as they were in the first ten years? Wiser and smarter, sure. But that doesn't always cover for the loss of reflexes - not forever.
