    Link from MotorsportsTV regarding an article from Sports Business Journal, states the IRL is seeking a Title Sponsor

    Report: IRL Asking $10 Million Annually for Title Sponsor

    Sports Business Journal reports that "the Indy Racing League is on the street seeking its first title sponsor in two years." The publication reports that the IRL is asking $10 million a year for the sponsorship. (8/5)

    I signed up for a trial subscription and read the article. Actual industry folks are much more positive about the IRL than most of us around here. One person even said title sponsorship of the IRL at 10 million was a "steal".

      They could issue little chia "pet" race cars as collectible items. You would have to water your chia race car and wait until it grew to see which car you have.

          They should check with Bridgestone and Ford. I hear they aren't going to be doing that much by the middle of next year.

              $10 million, dang that is dirt cheap. Come on Corporate America, get behind this machine. Step up and help us sell it to the American People. Let's go now.

              Hey, I have a couple bucks if anyone want's to go in and help save oval track racing with me. If we sponsor the series we can demand a no Right Turns. Come on Track Forum

                            Actually, Carls bought Hardees and is starting to phase its menu out... so its more like Hardees is Carls East Coast. Besides, Carls actually has GOOD food...
