Ratings trend behind reality, often by one to two years.

I'm not worried. Next year should be mind-blowing.

DISCLAIMER: Don't even think I'm saying "Wait until next year when people really discover the IRL" here. I'm just talking about TV ratings. That's all. Nothing else. Really.

1% covers the cars and racing
2% If we had the drivers people wanted to see
4% a few yars down the road if the above two are accomplished

Indy 500 numbers should be in the low 2's by 2005, dontcha think?

All because of one ill-advised ruling.

It's one thing to be number 1 in the ratings.

Altogether another thing to have your ratings be a 1.

                  Don't worry. Everything is fine.

Just like I said - a drop of .2 from the overnights.

Unfortunately, it's also a drop of .2 from last year.

Neither is 30,000 in the stands. Or 33 qualifiers at Indy.

                          Me heap confused.

                          What has been fixed?
