  • Charlotte Motor Speedway Sink Hole

http://jalopnik.com/5657212/massive-...yline=true&s=i With the track built on a land field, what will they fill the hole with? Old tires? Bent fenders? Concession stand rubbish?

Anyway, it seems that the reace will go on. I think this will cause a bit of internal audit checks at other tracks.

      Try this:

A massive sinkhole at Charlotte Motor Speedway has swallowed up a large chunk of the infield. Speedway representatives say the sinkhole was likely caused by a combination of heavy rain and the track being built atop a landfill.
      It's a Hoosier thing, you wouldn't understand...

OK... that looks to me like the section in T3/T4 where the kart track resides... Now in all seriousness, thank goodness that didn't happen a week later, when the section would have been filled with people, campers and displays... That would have generated a totally different set of reader comments...
