  • Phoenix NASCAR ratings hold steady with 07

According to USA Today the Subway Fresh Fit 500 pulled in the same rating as 2007 which would be a 4.4 according to Jayski despite the race being delayed and coverage being delayed and cut away from and then back to for the Sox/Yanks baseball game.

I'm not that good at comparative math... but I do believe that 4.4 is greater than 3.1... meaning that the national viewers have spoken... "southern tin-tops" trump "east-coast bias"... Way to go NASCAR, you improved nicely over your lead-in.

3.1 ain't bad for an April game delayed by 2 hours.

not to mention a 3.1 up against The Masters and the NASCAR number was in prime time.

Prime time doesn't really apply to Saturdays though. That's why fine programming like "Saturday Night Movies", are played that night . Still 3.1 isn't bad for a baseball game, it's just less than 4.4 for the NASCAR race. Shows which should have cleanly preempted the other. Baseball should have just been moved to FX at the NASCAR start time cleanly rather than the back and forth they went with.

You bet he is... and I know quite a few TV people who took a collective gasp at the news today...:

                  "Tiger has knee surgery..."

The viewership for the TPC at Sawgrass next month will take a hit... Hopefully Mr. Woods will be back in full swing for the US Open at Torre Pines in June...
