  • How long would the split have lasted?

If Indycar would have imediately added road courses?
    And retained identicle equipment.
I have spent more time here than I did in school.

Going backwards makes my brain hurt.

It's over, lets talk about the racing biz today, and what the future may hold.

I agree, we do not need any "what if" scenarios, only

What is and What it will be,

and the answer to that is. Fantastic and Amazing.

The IRL would most likely have been sued if they duplicated the CART spec after CART changed away from the common (CART/USAC) spec.

What if instead of blowing his money luring CC teams, Tony George had opened his wallet wide-open to keep Tony Stewart and Sam Hornish Jr?

In actuality the 25 guaranteed qualifiers was never an issue. The ironic thing is that the Palm Beach Accord was actually a better deal for the CART teams than the fastest 33.

That's the "Pebble Beach Accord" and it wasn't a good deal for anyone. Just a poor bandaid on bad situation.

He isn't? Is there any particular sport that he is a fan of?

What if C^RT had not changed to different equipment in '96. The IRL ran the identical equipment as had been running the previous year(s). The equipment change in the IRL was not until '97.
