  • Should TG make sure PT has a ride?

I watched the entire press conference yesterday as I'm sure many here did. IIRC, the only ex-CC driver that TG even mentioned was PT. And now we get the Forsythe news. So Should TG make sure that PT has a ride in the IRL this season?

With todays annoucement by Gerry F., I'm thinking it wasn't just a casual "name drop" by TG to mention PT.

Miller said in a Speed TV article that last winter TG had inquired about PT's availability. I remember such talk back then, so the answer would seem to be DA.

I'm thinking a fourth Vision car. He has a crew and a desire to race.

If Tracy wins a race in a Vision car the entire internet will melt down. I think Tony might put him in a car just for a laugh.

              Should someone hire him? Yes

Should TG make sure somone hires him? NO!

TOO much water under that bridge to make all this about one driver.

The real laugh will be if Barnhart has to determine the outcome of a race where PT in a Vision car passes Helio on the last lap and there is a yellow flag. I think Barnhart would melt down.

I think the Indy 500 needs as many former winners in it as possible to avert any bad press so...... Yes.

PT is the Charles Barkley of open wheel racing.
He says what he feels and doesn't care if it offends
                    and I welcome that!

He is also the best champ car oval racer.
No question, he should have a ride with someone in IRL.

PT driving one of TG's crapwagons! Oh the irony.

Team Tracy with Robby Gordon and pay them by the word.

                          1. What does that exactly say? No one in Champ Car has even seen a oval in the past 2 years.

                          2. So, should Buddy Lazier. Both are about the same age. If PT is so desperately needed, then so is Buddy. But, if I had to guess, only one will be in the IRL next year.

One of these CC teams, with their inexperienced oval drivers, are really missing the boat, not hiring Buddy. He could still win, with good equipment, in the IRL on ovals. Most of the current CC guys, likely cannot.

You know, that wouldn't be such a bad thing.

"Kill em with kindness". Make PT regret every bad thing he ever said about the IRL.
