  • Greg Moore

You will never be forgotten. It's hard to believe that you died on this date six years ago. I was there and consider that one of the worst racing experiences of my life.

    Godspeed Greg.

Sadest day I have experienced watching racing. Greg was one of my favorites. And he was joining my favorite team the next year, Penske.

I knew as soon as I saw the wreck, it was real bad. I remember the doctor telling Paul Page later in the race that Greg had died.

He was such a talent. A true loss to all open wheel.

    Greg, we miss you.
After years of fighting and a split, guess what, we are all IndyCar

October will always be a sad racing month for me. RIP Greg and Dan. You both were great and we miss you.

yep - one of the darkest days we've known

any loss is hard, but for some reason - maybe because we all saw it happen and knew, pretty much immediately, the result - this loss was really difficult

a good time to reflect on and appreciate what all these guys (and gals) contribute

I miss Greg a lot, he was my favorite in CART, him and Alex.

He was a great guy, always had time for an autograph.

        We miss you 99.

This thread makes me sad for the loss of such a good person and talented driver. I miss him and wonder what he would have done at IMS, for I know he would have raced there by now. It would have been great to watch.

7 years, and the loss is still so painful.

            C'ya up front Greg.....

Walked out of the stands that day long before the race was finished...
                    ...in my heart it was.

Selfishly I regret never getting to see him race with Penske. My favorite, team, my favorite driver, paired with one of my other favorites, Gil.

To this day I wish they would have a 500 miler at one of the Superspeedways and call it the Greg Moore Memorial 500.
