Impulse Buy: Clark '65 Indy Winner

I don't know what came over me. I called Apollo to change the credit card number for the Nov. delivery of the Foyt Coyote.

I was looking at their website while talking to customer service when I suddenly blurted out, "Send me that Clark Lotus NOW!.

Atleast you get your's now KO, i was threatened with in an inch of my life, if i went ahead and got one.

Seems like a long time till christmas.

I've wanted that car for so long.......

But what happened to "powered by Ford". It missing after the word Lotus.

Arrived yesterday.

What a gem! Much more detailed than any other Carousel models I have in spite of the "Ford" decal glitch.

I got it from the giftshop today!

took me three days to decide I had to get it!!!!

i guess i'm lucky then that both my 1/43 Lotus' (Clark Lotus and Gurney's "Yamaha Spl" Lotus) have the whole slogan.

i have already paid for the soon to be released '67 Gurney Wagner-Lockheed Brake Fluid Spl should(hopefully) be out by Christmas.

i think i heard that carousel has only promised the three for this year (Clark - Foyt - Gurney), which means the release of "Eagle/104", the '67 Spa winner, is anyone's guess, at this point.

In their newest update, Replicarz is saying "early November."

I got a letter today from Apollo. They talk about the different versions and pics of the '67 winner.
The Grey or white or chrome exhaust, tail scoops or no tail scoops, 2 different styles of wheels,etc. They mention they had access to the car @ IMS museum.

The pic i have seen of the '67's victory photo, and the wheels that are on this car, are indeed different.

Carousel 1 does a great job on the cars, no doubt in my mind, but i ask, why not do it from victory photo's?.

Just me, i like the car to look like it did after crossing the yard of bricks.

They also mention there is a licensing issue with Ford. No blue oval on the nose. That explains no " powered by ford" on the Clark car. We gathered that, but i am glad they mentioned it.
I wonder why Ford won't grant their ok. I'm talking to a good freind about the Clark and now i will the blue oval for the '67. He can make vinyl stickers.

Just click the contact link. He's been busy lately, and i just recently got to talk to him about the ' 67 car. I believe he said he can do them in vinyl, much nicer sticker.
