          Bon Appetite magazine
A book fell on my head, and I only have my shelf to blame.

A seafood one from when I lived in California.
Gave me the recipe for broiled shark... which I will forever be grateful.

Also a very old one that belonged to my Grandmother (she signed her maiden name to it and dated it 1922).
Can't remember the name of it...it's at home.

My absolute favorite cookbooks come from a church fundraiser in DeMotte, IN. One of the big churches in town used to compile recipes from it's members every few years and publish a cookbook. Those ladies could really cook and the recipes were easy.

Right now, the cookbook I'm using the most is "Classic Lebanese Cuisine" by Kamal El-Faqih.

Out of Old Nova Scotia Kitchens

Published in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Society of Nova Scotia, 1970.

It's got some great recipes using some seriously oldtime kitchen / food terminology. As a bonus, it has a number of recipes to cure almost any ailment. Great entertainment!

I own several cookbooks of all kinds of varieties and at least 6 that specialize in Chinese cooking but this is by far my favorite and the one I've taken the most recipes to fiddle with and make them my own.

The base from which my Cashew Curry Shrimp with Garlic originated... Only where he uses white wine to make his sauce I use Capt. Morgan's spiced rum.

They are expensive and are not cook books per say they are tecniqe books but the CIA series are the best choice:
