it actually quit raining

...I've gotten over 3" of rain here at my place since Friday, with some decent thunderstorms last night. Looking out my deck I have Lake Erie behind me. Finally it quit raining today....though more rain and thunderstorms are on the horizon in Illinois. At least the temperature has been in the lower 60's.

irf, our drainage ditch was turned into a lake. I had to wade out in waist-deep water to clear the crap off the drain so it would work properly. It may have been 60+ outside but that was some damned cold water!!

We've been under a "winter storm watch", "winter storm warning" or a "snow advisory" nearly every day for the past two weeks, and another storm is forecast for tonight. It's snowing right now - just like it has every day this month! (But the ski areas are loving it)

...it started raining again here on the southside about 6pm and is now starting to let up. I'm over 4" now just since Friday!

...I remember having to do that at my parents house a couple of times. I thought it was fun then, not realizing how really nasty it is if you were really to think about it!

I'll bet that water was cold despite the above-average temperatures we've had. Was great to be running around today in shorts and a sweatshirt!

Snow melted last week and I was looking forward to getting out the bike. Then 6-8" of snow fell last night and today. Yeah.

River near us is at flood stage, ground is soaked.

Tommorrow they are saying possible snow showers, yesterday was out in the yard in short sleeves. Spring is fun!
