Last night's game was a horrible ending to a really lousy season for the Cards. I'm not close enough to 'em to understand what happened but their collapse this season is one of the greatest I've ever seen.

subtract Francisco Garcia, Larry O'Bannon, Ellis Myles and Otis George and add a much tougher conference and 7 newcomers to the rotation and it was a recipe for disaster....

still, I expected more...

Irrational enthusiasm, based on last year, IMO. I've been so dissapointed this year with down years for both of my favorites, Louisville and Syracuse. My ex is from Louisville and got me hooked on the Cards. The year Pervis Ellison took them to the title was magic...I guess the good news is that their young guys got a lot of PT this year. They should be ready to be more competitive next season.

key injuries to David Padgett, Juan Palacios and Taquan Dean didnt help matters, but I felt we were overrated to begin with.
