We've known for quite awhile that Madden was leaving MNF. I believe that he has signed with NBC for the new Sunday night games. Maybe Michaels will go with Madden?

I quit watching MNF after Madden had been there a while...his 'booms' et al got real old...of course, I doubt I'll watch much this year either...

I agree that Madden's style can be annoying, but I think he's knowledgeable and insightful.

I agree that Madden's act has grown stale over the years, but he still is capable of making a very good observation or 2 during a game, more than most..

And his color commentary is an act. His interviews on sports news programs, such as ESPNnews, are low key, intelligent, and insightful without any of the bombast that usually shows up in the booth. Maybe NBC can get him to tone it down.
