Toy Story 3 would probably cost $150-200 million to make (just a guess) and have to deal with a much more crowded market--since every studio is now producing digitallly animated features. Plus, Slinkydog is dead.

Being a kids movie and all, Ive gotta admit that I saw the first one in the theatre with my son. Within 10 minutes, I forgot that it was a digital movie and actually got wrapped up in the story. But Im a dork like that.

I thought i read that Toy Story 3 was now going to be "reworked" as a Pixar/Disney project - rather than being a Disney project which had Pixar at odds.

They haven't actually canceled Toy Story 3, they're just redoing it. In the latest version Buzz Lightyear and Woody discover that their rivalry has been fueled by their latent homosexuality. Its working title is Brokeback Toy Story.Center Grove Trojans
