What are you seeing that says that? I've heard of studies that say it does nothing to prevent cancer, but the news stories seem to be indicating it has other health benefits (especially heart health).
"It doesn't mean that omega-3 fatty acids don't have other health benefits — it's just that reducing cancer risk isn't one of them," MacLean said.
"We know that omega-3 fatty acids are very good for the cardiovascular system. That's really not in question," medical correspondent Dr. Emily Senay said on The Early Show Thursday. "We know it can protect against heart disease. We know it can help reduce the risk of sudden death. It can lower triglycerides, lower blood pressure and reduce rheumatoid arthritis symptoms. Not only that, omega-3 fatty acids are found in foods we know are healthy in general.
"So we definitely want to continue to include these in our diets, even if we don't see at this time a benefit to the reduction in cancer."

"No matter where you go in the world, you say Indianapolis and they don't think about football or basketball, they think about the race." -- Richard Petty
I expect after decades of restraint and self-denial on my part that the day after I die they will find out that the cure for cancer was tenderloins and onion rings.

Good thing, too. Down there, it's more like a few minutes instead of a few weeks!
True Dat... but when it comes to sushi we're still safe. In fact now that you've gone and done this I gotta make a call to the Osaka Inn for a little carry out.
