  • Lead in the air at NASCAR races

I didn't know whether to put this on the NASCAR forum or the Current Events forum, so I'm putting it here.

The sky is falling because it's full of lead!

    Have fun, kids.

I think that explains a lot.

I thought this thread would be about hillbillies firing their shotguns into the air when Jr. takes the checkers........

With news like this, nascar could very well take ethanol to the forefront of motorsports.

        Oh...wait...

I would have thought they were already using unleaded. F1 does. How about Atlantics and IPS?

NASCAR is already in the process of addressing high levels of CO encountered by the drivers, they should voluntarily go unleaded as well.

I was going to tell some stories about my days during the wild and woolly Figure 8 shows at Louisville, but then I found out this was about lead fumes, not rounds.

I've got a good friend that goes to at least a dozen NASCAR races every year... when I told him about this today his response was... "Gee I hope they didn't waste any money testing to find that out cause all they had to do was ask me."

He also added that Bristol seems to the worse... which I guess makes sense.

"No one under the age of 21 will be allowed at any race sing leaded fuel," according to Ibey Nosin of the well-known media giant - HEAVY METAL. This way no child should be left behind due to his mind being corrupted by such material. It is figured anyone over the age of 21 is already brain damaged due to the previous 21 years of existence and is a hopeless case. Remember, they will card you at all races in the 2006 season to make sure you are already headed down hill.

And there it is: NASCAR to begin using unleaded fuel in 2008
