I see that ESPN2 will be showing this game Thursday night at 7:30 EST. I know who to watch for on the Lawrence North squad but is there someone on North Central's squad who I should be watching as well?

If you can take your eyes off of Oden make sure you watch Gordon. He's a thoroughbred. 100% stud. And he's only a junior.
Don't forget Oden's teammate Mike Conley either.Center Grove Trojans

I'm sorry but everytime I see a big man who can't put the ball on the floor without it being taken away from him I'm reminded of Uwe.

btw, LN just beat North Central Saturday night by about 23 in the Marion County tournament championship game.
Game was inside 10 points iirc starting fourth quarter when LN really put it to them. In the second round of the tourney LN beat Pike by 13 but Pike made that score close in the fourth quarter, I think it was 20 points at half. So LN must be playing better than I thought against the Ohio team. Pike and NC have been LN toughest competition in state the last few years and right now it doesn't look close.
btw, LN has won state championship in 2005 and 2004
In 2003 Pike won the state championship, finished undefeated and ranked No. 2 in the nation, with No. 1 ranked team led by Lebron James. Pike's top player that year was Robert Vaden, a junior, who is now playing for IU.
Vaden probably would have been Indiana Mr. Basketball in 2004 but he transferred to a prep school out of state. That cost any chance Pike had to beat LN that year also.
Thursday night's game should feature 2006 Indiana Mr. Basketball Greg Oden and then 2007 Mr. Basketball favorite Eric Gordon.

The Pike team was very balanced though, had a couple of players coming off the bench getting Division 1 offers
And Pike's top senior in 2003 was Justin Cage, who averaged 13.4 points and 7 rebounds per game. Cage was named Indiana Mr. Basketball that year and went to Xavier to play
Vaden averaged 13.5 points per game as a junior at Pike. I saw that team play a few games, Vaden was definitely the leader, eventhough Cage won Mr. Basketball because he was a senior.

Wish I could go to that game, but North Central sold the place out before the general public got a shot at tickets (they gave students and parents a chance to buy before the public, and they sold them all). Their gym holds 3,200, so the place should be rockin'!
At least I got to see them in the county tournament final. LN shut down Gordon in the second half of that game (five points in the third quarter, zero in the fourth quarter). I don't expect that to happen this time."If there is a place on Earth synonymous with race cars, it is Indianapolis." -- Bernie Ecclestone

North Central Panther here, class of '75.
No idea what they're up to, but if they make a TF thread, must be something up.
You know, back in HS, our northernmost point of (fun, madness, crime - it was the '70's) was the Northside Drive-In, where I saw such classics as "Gator Bait", "Gone in 60 Seconds", you name the lousy cheesy flick. Another mile and we would have been in - gasp - Carmel, home of those other people.
Decades later, when we decided to move back to Indiana, what would be just down the road? The previous site of the Northside Drive-In, now a subdivision.
Somewhere in one of those lawns is bound to be a condom wrapper or roach clip that came from some vehicle I was in on some weekend night... ah, nevermind, I was going to start telling stories...
But I ramble... go Panthers.
