  • Semi-official Broncos-Steelers Thread

Enough already about the Colts. There will be a pretty good game in Denver. Outdoors, as it should be.

Haven't seen much of the Broncos this year but the little I saw they looked pretty solid. Who should I look out for in the game, anything particularly special about them?

As you saw in the game against the Pats, they like to blitz, a lot. They also have probably the fastest linebackers in the NFL (Williams, Wilson, and Gold). Champ Bailey on Ward will be an interesting matchup no doubt...

On the other side of the ball, other than his neck-beard, Jake Plummer being good this year is basically predicated on them running the bootleg REALLY well. They'll probably get 2-3 long completions a game from that. They use the old thunder (Mike Anderson) and lightning (Tatum Bell) approach to the running game.

I'd say their only offensive weakness is that beyond Rod Smith and maaaaybe Jeb Putzier, they don't really have that great of a recieving corps.

Should be a good game, GO BRONCOS! WIN A SUPER BOWL IN MY LIFETIME... AS AN ADULT!

Champ Bailey is a shut-down corner, and safety John Lynch will knock your socks off. Plummer is OK as long as he plays Shanahan's game and doesn't revert to those Arizona days when he thought the whole game was on his shoulders. Plummer doesn't have to win the game, just not lose it. Linebackers fast, as mentioned above. Offensive line is good also, and the Cleveland Broncos in the defensive line have been a breath of fresh air. If Anderson tires as "thunder" they bring in the Great Dayne.

Go Broncs, we need a post-John superbowl win. (when you say "John" in Denver, they know who you mean)

Watch the blocking on both sides of the ball. Great technique. Great blocking schemes. Its far more than pushing other guys around and these two teams put on a good display.

But good luck waiting for the announcers to recognize it.

              Go Broncos!

Think the NFL will assign Pete Morelli to ref the game?

Both teams have very good O-lines.

                    Or they wouldn't be there.

This game will come down to 2 or 3 plays.

Steelers play well away from Heinz feild.

Broncos are @ Invesco and are used to the altitude.

Grab the salsa and chips.. this one should be a good one.
