Oh great... now this is going to lead to reviews of the reviews... games are going to take even longer now.
I always thought or maybe just imagined that the official in the booth that the field judge is suppose to confer with had a copy of the rule book with him for such cases??

No, it's not going to lead to anything other than the official in question will get a bad grade...
...and perhaps an appointment with an eye doctor.
One of the worst calls I have ever seen."The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing. If you can fake that, you've got it made."

I have the hots for Khaleesi...

Not a chance.
BTW, will they review the facemask call that handed the Steelers their second TD?Center Grove Trojans

One of the worst calls I have ever seen.
The way they described it was that he went down but that the ball squirted out before his right knee got off of the ground... they made it sound like they knew what they were talking about... I assumed it was just a bad rule like the one that cost Tampa Bay a touchdown in the wildcard game against Washington.
However I would still like an explanation of how Randle El wasn't interfered with.

The definition of a bad rule is the Tuck Rule that screwed the Raiders out of the Super Bowl a few years ago.Center Grove Trojans

I was at the game, and was stunned when the call was reversed. Apparently the call for the yellow had gone out _just_ prior to the pass ...
I will say that Troy Polamalu is one heck of a player.
I guess I just assumed he was kind of a jerk due to his long hair. Leaving the game yesterday, though, I saw him exchanging what looked to be sincere congratulations with several Colts, and he was among the players from both sides who were in a prayer circle at center field after the game. A colleague told me he's heard Polamalu is actually a great guy.
Unless Pittsburgh is playing Washington or Indianapolis, I may just be a fan of the guy.I ain't quiet, everybody else is too loud.

I think it's in his blood:
His brother, Kaio Aumua, played football at UTEP. His uncle is former USC fullback Kennedy Pola (1982-85), now the Trojans' running backs coach and special teams coordinator. Another uncle, Al Pola, played football at Penn State. A cousin, Nicky Sualua, was a running back with the Cincinnati Bengals and the Dallas Cowboys who attended Ohio State. Another cousin, Leie Sualua, was a defensive lineman at Oregon. Another cousin, Joe Polamalu, played for Oregon State in 1987 and 1988.Center Grove Trojans

By the logic the ref used to overturn the call, the following situation would also be incomplete, and not interceptions and fumbles.
1)He catches it, rolls and bounces 12 times on the ground, then gets up and fumbles with one knee touching the ground.
2)He catches it while on the ground, gets up, runs, falls down without being touched, and fumbles with one knee touching the ground.
3)He falls on the ground, catches the ball, stays down for 10 seconds (injury maybe) without being touched, then tries to get up and fumbles with one knee touching the ground.Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who is the Keenest of them all?
