Rams, Vikings, and Packer coaches all out of work.
Tough being an NFL head coach these days.
Black Monday Head Count: 8
Steve Mariucci - Detroit Lions (although his Black Monday came early)
Mike Tice - Minnesota Vikings
Mike Martz - St. Louis Rams
Mike Sherman - Green Bay Packers
Dom Capers - Houston Texans
Dick Vermeil - Kansas City Chiefs (although he "retired", my guess is with a little help from Carl Peterson)
Jim Haslett - New Orleans Saints
Norv Turner - Oakland Raiders
As I heard former Colts coach Ron Meyer say after he was fired, NFL stands for "Not For Long."
"If there is a place on Earth synonymous with race cars, it is Indianapolis." -- Bernie Ecclestone
"No matter where you go in the world, you say Indianapolis and they don't think about football or basketball, they think about the race." -- Richard Petty
the funny part is they all get recycled if they want to
a couple years as a coordinator or assistant, & they're the "next great hope" at some struggling franchise
Road racing is doomed...what this country needs is a big new racetrack designed for automobiles instead of horses. C.G. Fisher

Or they go to a college and win back-to-back national titles.
Center Grove Trojans
2008 5A Football State Champs
2015 6A Football State Champs
2011 Track State Champs
Center Grove Jr. Trojans
2014, 2015 & 2017 IEFA State Champs
It'd be better if all those coaches are recycled. That way the owner/operators of www.fire<insert coach's name>.com will only have to change the background colors.
"Foyt's mere presence is a punch in the face, an inoculation against milquestoast corporatism. There wasn't a car anywhere anyhow anytime that Foyt wouldn't put the boot to, and there hasn't been a race devised he couldn't win."

To me how much do you have to cheat to get studs to come to SoCal or Fla?
Now winning every year in Wisconsin or Nebraska? That takes some recruiting skills

I could've sworn Powercat also called the shot on G.M. Donahoe as well.
If so, nice call.
If not, in the words of Bushwick Bill; "my mind is playin' tricks on me."

I did athos, but I hadn't heard anything in a while so I rescinded my call. BTW, I give full credit to the best NFL beat guy IMO, Adam Schefter of the NFL Network (and formerly the Denver Post). He called just about all of those shots with the exception of Mike Sherman.

I don't know who used it first then but I heard Jerry Glanville say it when he was mad at an official. “This is the NFL, which stands for ‘Not For Long’ if you keep making calls like that,”
Got to watch out for those Libertarians - they want to take over the government and leave everyone alone!
