It seems the Bears decided that single game playoff tickets are only available to residents of Illinois. A credit card must have an Illinois billing address to order tix for the playoffs.
They say this is to try to restrict ticket brokers from buying in big blocks and then selling them all over. A way to get more Bears fans at the game versus opposing fans.
Seems lame to me. Lots of ways of restricting the brokers without hurting your fans from nearby Indiana and Wisconson.
I guess now you should buy your tickets at inflated prices from a broker who has an Illinois billed credit card.
Nice job Bears...Got to watch out for those Libertarians - they want to take over the government and leave everyone alone!Comment

Indiana restriction lifted on Bears playoff tickets
Tickets go on sale Tuesday
Janaury 1, 2006 - There is good news for Chicago Bears fans who live in northwest Indiana. Team officials announced Sunday that fans living in that area can purchase divisional playoff tickets.
Previously, Ticketmaster would only sell them to fans with credit cards that have an Illinois billing address.
A Bears official says he made a mistake and that feedback from angry fans has prompted the team to sell the tickets to Indiana fans as well.
Playoff tickets go on sale Tuesday by phone and the Internet.Comment

So they finally came to their senses. My dad is from Logansport and is a fanatical Bears fan. I lived for a year in Valpo and the people there don't realize that they don't live in Chicago.
The original plan was a huge slam on those Bears fans IMHO.
Better late than never.
