  • Reardon Wigs Out

    Charged with armed robbery of a jewelry store.

    Jeff Reardon was one of the best relief pitchers of all time.

    I guess living in Boston for awhile leaves its impact on you.

      Zing!

      No weather forecasts are ever guaranteed, even if confidence level is high. Even a 99% probability will miss 1% of the time. That's the best anybody can do when predicting highly complex events.

            "PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Jeff Reardon, one of the top relief pitchers in history, was charged with robbing a jewelry store, then blamed his arrest on medication he was taking for depression."

            ==

            "He said Reardon had a 20-year-old son who died of a drug overdose in February 2004, which has been 'very difficult for him and his family,' and has been on medication for depression. Reardon, who is married and has two other children, also underwent a heart angioplasty last week and has been taking medication for that condition."

                Yes the reporting on this down here is that there might be something to the medical cause... his wife is saying he don't need the money that he still has plenty of the 11.4 million he made playing baseball. People have been killing themselves on some of these anti-depressants...

                maybe he's getting off lucky with just 3 to 5? He had no gun, he was just a big guy with a note.

                    But didn't the note say he had a gun? In some states thats the same as having a gun.

                      To think otherwise would require people to take responsibility for their own actions.

                        I don't know, he didn't show it to me... but you have to admit it's refreshing to see a celebrity arrested and there's not a dead woman involved.

                          Whaddya think Mr. Reardon would pay to get OJ's jury?

                            If he has a good lawyer it will probably never get that far, if what his wife and him were saying has any truth to it. Just expect Mr. Reardon to be doin' a bunch more community work for a spell.
