    Pathbreaking Comedian Richard Pryor Dies

I remember the first album cover of his that I ever saw. He was tied to a stake, surrounded by a group of KKK shmucks. The title:

    "Was It Something I Said?"

Chicago Blackhawks done didn't do it again!

Few comedians made me laugh as hard as Richard Pryor.

    Rest in Peace, Richard.

I believe Richard to be the funniest person I've ever seen or listened to. "Richard Pryor Live in Concert" was the best two hours I've ever spent in a movie theater.
            RIP!
            Have a very blessed day!

I remember his short-lived television show on NBC in the late 70s. Boy that was hysterical. So were most of his movies like "Stir Crazy" and "Which Way is Up?"

RIP to the man from Peoria, Ill.

While I was at Indiana State I was buddies with a guy named Charles Walls who was the star running back of our football team. Charles was from Peoria and told me that his grandpa was "Old Man Walls" of Pryor's stand-up fame.

Does that count as a "brush with fame"?

Just a marvelous talent, man I loved him.

That he lived to be 65 seems a bonus, really.

He broke new ground, and made us laugh at ourselves.
