The Bears looked downright nasty yesterday. They will be a very difficult out in the NFC playoffs.

      Serious question...

Have the Bears beaten anybody good?

Carolina.. Hey, with that defense and if they get home field advantage, how about a Colts-Bears Super Bowl. We'd find out if the adage is true, defense wins champioships.

Carolina is a good team. They were picked by many to win the NFC in the offseason and were 7-2 going into yesterday's game with the Bears and had won 3 straight games by 20+ points.

The Bears just crushed them. I'd put them #2 or #3 in the NFC right now, behind Seattle and even or slightly behind Dallas. Their defense is nearly as dominant as the Colts offense is.

A better question might be, how many good teams are there in the NFL?

There aren't many, especially when compared to the old days when teams like Dallas, Washington, and SF had tremendous defenses and offenses.

With the cap, you almost have to pick which side of the ball you are going to concentrate on, and hope you get lucky with some diamonds in the rough on the other side.

Good points. The only things I see scarey right now in the NFL are the Colts offense and the Bears defense. As a Bears fan, I think they are getting a little full of themselves after beating one good team though.

Maybe. If they win at Tampa Sunday, I'm hopping on the bandwagon though.

The answer is related to both questions. Yes, the Colts beat the Bengals ... whom the Bears were unable to beat.

                          Good point, rex.

The Colts also beat a pretty good Jacksonville team.

To say nothing of the 3 time SB champion Patriots, who are again in command of the AFC East.

the AFC, once again has the cream of the crop in the NFL, just look at the West. good teams, and only the division winner may get in the playoffs.
