30 years ago Born to Run was released, the much
anticipated pulling together of all the screwed up
kids, sweet girls, and highway heroes that populated
the first two albums.
well if perfection was intended, and legend has it
that the boss put his blood into it, then perfection
was achieved. i heard a part of an interview with him
on npr today, in which he said that he now has a house
in a neighborhood with no sidewalks or front porches
to dance across or screen doors to slam. and when he
goes back to the old neighborhood, nobody's out in the
street.
"so it goes" he closed with a laugh.
but 30 years ago he painted it like a master. new
version out today, it's a must have.
