  • Purdue's defense tightens up!!!

I heard all these teams were getting 600+ yards against Purdue and I thought that was odd since they had most of their starters back from last year's team.

Lo and behold they hold Penn State to 516 yards!!

    Way to go PU!!!!

So, what bowl will the Boilers be playing in this year? Rose?

Ah, memories. 1982. Lee Corso beat Purdue that year for the Old Oaken Bucket...

... and still got fired because the rest of the season sucked.

Just something to think about, Purdue fans.

losing games won't get Tiller fired but much more of this stuff will:

Yet another pathetic attempt at humor.

              Keep trying TD.

                Let's see:

They give up 493 total yards (237 on the ground), turn the ball over 4 times, the opening kickoff is returned 98 yards for a touchdown against them, and they lose the game 46-15. That is a pathetic performance.

Oh wait, those are IU's stats, and this is a PURDUE thread--silly me. I should really read the subjects a little more closely.

LOL. IU & PU both suck but IU wasn't picked to be in the Rose Bowl either.

Hey, Purdue wasn't listed to go to the Rose Bowl in anything I read in the preseason. A Dark Horse, yes, but not the favorite.

Of course, that doesn't mean that they don't suck and that they aren't a complete letdown.

We Purdue fans just have to look forward to the college basketball season--at least they can't let us down too much--they're picked to finish 10th, according to the Star. And that's probably being generous...

TD is a typical IU fan. They crow about IU basketball, claim they could care less about IU football, but bash Purdue any chance they get. When someone bashes IU, they get very defensive and upset.

He doen't seem too upset to me...but I'll just wait until the IU-KY game and see how he's doing then.

That's a good description of a lot of IU fans but not this one.

It looks like the Purdue defense is holding up pretty good today.
