  • Are Houston fans the biggest, uh, wimps in sports?

Class action lawsuit to be filed because Houston fans got sick in the "cold" World Series weather, because the dome was open

    No.

LAWYERS are the biggest wimps in sports.

You can't get "sick" from the cold weather in less than 24 hours. In fact, you're not going to get sick unless you are exposed to a virus.

Unless these people got hypotermia or frostbite (in 50-degree weather), or start actually showing symptoms in the next couple weeks, they haven't a leg to stand on.

I love how people think that being in the chilly weather gives them a cold.
No weather forecasts are ever guaranteed, even if confidence level is high. Even a 99% probability will miss 1% of the time. That's the best anybody can do when predicting highly complex events.

This clearly is just a lawyer's bad idea. Has nothing to do with the Houston fans. Class actions are viewed by many lawyers as "retirement" cases, and are often dreamed up by lawyers first, and then they go shopping for clients willing to put their names on it. Most likely she got the idea when Garner said that he thought the commissioner did not take fan comfort into account when deciding the roof should be open.

And here I thought this was going to be a thread asking why the TX fans didn't take the foul ball away from the Chicago player who dove into the stands and came up with the out....
I'm from a place called the internet. Nothing disturbs me.

A lawyer, AND from Houston. Double-wuss.

                Hope he doesn't sue me.

Possible remake of an old TV classic (with appoligies to an inteligent program).

                  Have Complaint, Will Sue

The card of Pileiton, a swave character who goes to bat for any one with a complaint about anything. The middle of the card has the outline of the "Blind Justice." With his cheif cook and bottle washer, Yo Boy, he discusses where he might find a disgruntled person.

The search continues, justice will be bought and paid.

"They expected to go and enjoy a game instead they were met with conditions they weren't prepared for," said Sechelski.
Um...yeah...okay. They'd only been talking about MLB ordering the roof be open for over a day on sports talk radio.
Chicago Blackhawks done didn't do it again!
