  • Mr. Coffee is Dead

It's 7:30 on Thanksgiving morning. Mrs. Numb has prepared the machine at whatever hour she awoke.
All I had to do was stagger out of the bedroom and push the button.
    Nothing.
    No sound. No gurrgle.
Services to be held at my Empire Waste Disposal can later today.

Ours quit working at Sebring in March. We boiled water and poured it thru the grounds.
Crisis averted. We did not search but doubtful those were sold at the track.

Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio?

The Joe DiMaggio Mr. Coffee commercial was filmed at my friend’s house in Painesville, Ohio.

The host family was under strict orders to not ask Mr. DiMaggio for his autograph or even speak to him.

I had a nice coffee tutorial from a woman who has worked at the local Circle K for the last 22 years.
Bought myself some little chocolate donuts to aid in the grieving process.
I have decisions to make, but not today.
          It is too soon...

Mrs. Numb took a few of my donuts.
Said she did not want me to get "fatter".
Clearly, she does not understand grief management...

I bet Mrs. Coffee did it.

I have a Capresso MG900, excellent machine. Pretty fast when I forget to set the timer.

I buy my coffee makers used at Goodwill. Usually last about a year. No sense buying a new one and getting emotionally attached it. It's just better that way.

                          That seems gross to me.

                          No offense intended. 🙂

After spending 32 years in the Army, all in field units I can guarantee that I had coffee made in worse apparatus then a used coffee maker from Goodwill.

Plus I always run vinegar and water through it before the first pot is made!

No dog here, the Mrs forbids pets. She doesn't drink coffee so she could care less about my coffee consumption and where I got my coffee maker.
