    Phil Spector

One of the most influential figures in rock n' roll era recorded music.

Horrible human being in almost every other aspect.

Dead at 81. Kind of wish he'd suffered longer in prison.

Rolling Stone: Phil Spector, the famed ‘Wall of Sound’ producer and architect of some of pop music’s most enduring songs whose legacy was marred by a murder conviction, has died at the age of 80 .

Yes, that pesky murder rap was tough on his reputation.

Like him or not he did produce some of the greatest music of the sixties. He was the American Joe Meek in most aspects including their downfall.

What do you say...You cannot say RIP...I am thinking of some things, but I better not say this.

Yeah he was a Murderer, there were stories of him doing stuff before that, most assault, his ex-wife Ronnie, and there was a story of him attacking John Lennon, not sure what happened there, both people are dead now so I won't talk more about it...
I like to talk about Racing & Rant about Commercials, why because they are irritating...Then again so am I.

Influential or not, he was a piece of garbage so no RIP's coming from me. He was worse than Harvey Weinstein and Harvey Weinstein is also a monster

We can all agree he's dead. Anyways Ronnie was the real talent, Phil had to build his wall to match what was coming out of Ronnie. Her voice was the motivator.

Not only a murderer but a lousy husband:

Ronnie Spector, the ex-wife of convicted murderer and legendary producer Phil Spector, remembered him as a “brilliant producer, but a lousy husband” in an Instagram post on Sunday. Spector died in prison Saturday of COVID-19 complications at the age of 81. The two married in 1968 but divorced six years later; the Ronettes singer said her husband was abusive and told her he would kill her. In 2009, Spector was convicted for the 2003 murder of actress Lana Clarkson. “Unfortunately Phil was not able to live and function outside of the recording studio. Darkness set in, many lives were damaged,” the post read. “I still smile whenever I hear the music we made together, and always will. The music will be forever.”

Sounds about right for RS. I mean, it’s not like he supported someone they disprove of... he merely abused women, and only murdered one.

The ‘rona takes another one too soon... 🙏🏻

Are you sure about that story? I've never heard about any "attack", though their sessions together were contentious due to poor behavior by both of them.

Spector was a great record producer. That doesn't excuse or condone his personal behavior. Neither should it erase his work/talent.

It's quite easy to separate the artist from the person, at least for me in almost every case. There are so many more that might be worse than some we've heard about. It's always been that way. Gauguin was a pedophile.
