Sounds about right. Most owners of these products are distracted drivers.

It surprises me, I would expect to see some pickup trucks, Jeeps, large SUVs.

Lot's of those cars would probably be bought by "new drivers"

Indeed, take with a grain of salt...

Statistics were pulled from Insurify’s database of more than 1.6 million insurance quotes. To apply, drivers had to reveal, among other things, the make and model of their vehicle and whether or not the car had ever been involved in an accident.
So you only have a sampling of people who used Insurify to get a quote.
            It's a Hoosier thing, you wouldn't understand...

I don't think anyone is surprised that owners of WRXs get into lots of accidents.

Agree. Too much car for too little experience. Kids may like them but their skill sets lack for driving them.

Overconfidence. There are some drivers who seem to think 4WD makes them immune to snow and ice, for example, not realizing that 4 wheels will lock up and slide on ice just as readily as 2, and then it's all up to Sir Isaac Newton.

I hear that a lot but I swear it's the smaller cars that tailgate my big SUV on snow-covered roads.

Tailgating is another special kind of stupid.

Might have something to do with youth always being in a hurry. I find today that the speed limit is just a suggestion to them. Same for phones and other distractions. They can not stay focused on the job at hand. They think they are multi tasking when in fact they put others in danger due to their lack of regard for others. It's all about them and no one else.

Yeah, because teenagers were never self-absorbed in the past...and never drove too fast or got distracted fishing tapes out of the case or talking to friends in the car or staring at girls. Man, we were focused, I tell ya....

Driving on I 43 this morning, I noted that more cars were in the right lane than in the left lane. And I might add I observed some pretty stupid moves going on at 75 to 80 mph.
