"Better To Be Judged By Twelve Than Carried By Six"
" Only Those Who Will Risk Going Too Far....Can Possibly Find Out How Far One Can Go "...T.S. Elliot....
Late in the 4th quarter, Indiana was down 21-16 and had the ball inside the 20-yard line and threw an interception. IU had so many breaks and just threw them away.
Purdue tried very hard to choke on this game.....I thought IU looked pretty good against Purdue's defense. Like the announcers said, we all knew Green-Ellis would break away for a touchdown today...it was all a matter of when.
The officiating was a bit iffy as there was a lot of holding out there that wasn't being called. (and that interference call was kinda bogus) All in all, I'd rather see the game move quick rather than see it stopped every ten seconds for a penalty.
Originally posted by PHJIndy IU was the victim of a very bad official's spot with about 3 minutes to go. Purdue was a 24 point favorite, so IU overachieved.
BTW, that's totally not true. The ball was spotted at his point of forward progress.
You may be referring to the first down marker on the far sideline which indicated that he was at least a half-yard short, but apparently it didn't agree with the chains on the near sideline.
