  • Now we know how the Oxy-moron got his back pain

Carrying those stacks of $9,999 gave Rush his back pain

I am sure Ann Coulter and Mr. Oh Really? will have an apt excuse for this when Rush finally admits that he was trying to skirt financial laws.

Do you think he got caught in the post 9-11 financial scrutiny that occurred to find who was funding the terrorists?

Maybe I'm wrong and Bush and Ashcroft has made us just a bit safer from hypocrites Like Rush Limbaugh.

Do you have facts that would show that Limbaugh was laundering money...if so, please share 'em with the rest of us...

Well, not to hijack the subject, I'm curious though.

When has it been illegal to withdraw any amount of money from the bank? $9,999 or $10,001? Why does the government have to know? Who's breaking the law?

Doesn't look like Rush's recent controversy seemed to hurt his numbers on the radio this week. I'm really not a fan of Rush, but he sure makes a lot of money as a radio personality. I do like Bill O'Reilly, however. Ann Coulter is a little strange. I prefer Laura Ingraham. Matter of fact, I find her kind of sexy.

Part of the war on terrorism. This is how we're gonna catch the bombers.

Of course one would have to assume the the terrorists are dumber than Mr. Oxy-moron himself.

Interesting that Rush knew the limit and felt he needed to keep his large transactions private (but failed).

Who said laundering? Rush was trying to keep his drug buys under the radar since the banks have to report withdrawls of over $10,000. Which means he was making several trips to the bank between drug buys

BTW It's the president's new anti-drug message that those involved in the illegal drug trade are supporting terrorism.

Reagan said just say no... not sure Bush 1 changed that message and Clinton's was this is your brain on drugs. With Bush everything is about terrorism.

At least since 9-11. Of course prior to 9-11 Terrorism didn't even make his Justice Department's top ten.

The 10,000 and 3000 currency transaction reporting has been in effect since the early 90's (filing those mofo's used to be part of my job at the bank, what a pain in the azz).

Let me tell ya, though, if we found someone taking out or depositing 8 or 9 grand and it seemed in any way unusual...ie:multiple times in a short period of time, we would fill out the paperwork. Better safe than sorry, ya know.

I guess we can give him a bye if we find ot that he's buying thousands of illegal drugs for his pain, right?

Just be thankful Bush didn't use a medical deferrment, or all you Texans would be speaking Vietnamese now.

You're going to have to elaborate a little bit. How did Bush going AWOL prevent Texans from learning Vietnamese?

                        Curious minds want to know.
