need help regarding scanners

my dad is considering a microscanner from Racereceiver. it is credit card sized and supposedly will pick up all frequency ranges from 450-470 mhz. has anybody heard or tried this device, and if so would you recommend it. he's tired of lugging large scanners in addition to all his other race gear. any help would be appreciated. thanks

A lot of teams use frequencies in the 800 range so that would limit you. Other then that I don't know much about them.
