Sorry Grover, but I had to recluse myself from voting since you didn't have my "favorite lady".

Always, Grace Kelly. To see her in Hitchcock's "Rear Window" is to see perfection.

I will say though, that Ingrid Bergman in "Notorius" was a revelation. Saw it in the last year, I had no idea that she was that hot as a young lady.

I voted for Audrey Hepburn as the hotest. Looks aren't the only reason though as she led quite a couragous life. She and her mother barely escaped Nazi expansionism when Audrey was a young teenager. Later she devoted much of her time tending to the starving people in Africa.

        Quite a remarkable woman.

I liked her in the Sabrina era too.

I was all ready to vote for Ingrid, but that picture of Grace has thrown me. Not sure I can choose now.

Then, or course, there's Ann Sheridan, and you always knew the noir hero was in trouble when Lana Turner or Lizabeth Scott showed up.

And you can't forget Lauren Bacall.

Grace Kelly, Queen of the Ice. Her allure is in her purest unattainability. Truly a lady meant for the silver screen.

Modern day, I think Jennifer Garner would surprise a lot of people. She has the looks to be a classic actress; if only she would take parts worthy of it.

What about Eddie Deezen? You probably remember him from Grease and a million other obscure roles. He always plays "The Nerdy Guy", but I think he's a victim of typecasting.

jcroche, that may, in fact, be my favorite actress (along with jody Foster - although whenever I mention how much I love Jody Foster, people get nervous and secret service guys begin to hassle me). I especially loved their "don't take any crap" personalities off the screen.

If a moderator wants to add her (I can't), I'd throw a 'Bringing Up Baby' or 'Philadelphia Story' era Kate in there, too, but she'd be "starting a lap down" in this poll. I also thought about Bacall in this poll, but didn't want to split the "Bogey" vote.

This poll came about from a "post-event tailgate" discussion on (as was stated above) the perfect vision of a lady. I always thought it was Grace Kelly, end of story. After a few beers I was quoted as saying, "If Grace Kelly wasn't the hottest, then we'd all know Princess Ingrid of Monaco!!!!" The argument raged on (and will continue long after this thread has died).

I asked other tailgaters (many I never met before, nor would see again), and one very smart drunk answered, "My wife". But as soon as she went to the port-a-potty, he leaned over and asked me about Kristy McNichol back when she was on that TV show at like age 14. Other disturbingly illegal answers I received included the Olsen Twins, Brittany Spears and some Eddie Deezen guy. <shudder>

Having seen PenskeGirl3, I think she might receive some votes on this as well...

IMO Grace Kelly was the prettiest woman on the planet.

I was not! Oh, you mean that other Ol' Blue Eyes, right??

I also thought of Mary Astor, but that, too, would split the Bogey vote. I am not sure my split personalities could handle that. I think I read once where Ashley Judd said that her favorite on-screen kiss was the one Bogey and Astor shared during The Maltese Falcon.

Another one I thought of later... Rita Hayworth.

Sorry, you old farts, but humankind wasn't perfected until several decades later:

Eddie Deezen is a close second, however...
