I Haven't Had This Much Fun Since Bull Island

Rolling Stones in Toronto last night. Downsview Park. Half a million strong.

Lots of old fossils like me mixed with lots of scantily clad young thangs n' thongs.

Great music, too.

I didn't get that close, but it was a lot of fun.

Rush were there too! Wonder if there's a DVD of the event in the works. Surely there will be since it's a fundraiser.

Rush? Talented musicians I haven't heard from for a while.

Interesting side note about Rush. (By the way, they're sort of showing their age). One of the funniest shows I have ever seen is called 'Trailer Park Boys.' I would like to buy the syndication rights to that and sell it in the US. Anyway, they had a funny episode a couple of weeks ago that involved one of the main characters obsession with Rush. Funny stuff.

AC DC sounded good. The Guess Who sounded really bad. Burton Cummings is back, and he porked out. Rush was good.

Justin Timberlake was on, and they booed him up front. In his defense, he said if he were there to see AC DC, he'd boo himself.

The Flaming Lips are just plain weird.

Dan Akroyd has no business pretending to be a blues singer.

Sam Roberts and Kathleen Edwards are kind of cool.

I do not know how the Stones keep going. But they still do, and they're great.

It took a couple of episodes of me asking myself 'why in the h311 are you watching this,' and then I was hooked. I'm buying it.
