        About Grant, I believe he had trouble with his own father for profiteering during the Civil War.

        The article did say he had Jews in his cabinet.

          Sounds like he had more of a problem with the profiteering than the Jews.

          But thats just the way the article sounds to me.

              He also owned slaves, but later freed them. I think he atoned for his mistakes. History indicates that. Well, except for his terms in office.

                I thought his terms in office showed him to be a decent, honest, fair-minded person who was not a good judge of character and thus let a lot of scummy dishonest cronies get their way without him ever realizing what was really going on.
