Not sure how EarthPics came up with this graphic but it is interesting. Is that a yellow dot at IMS?

Interesting that Germany, Switzerland, and northern Italy are noticeably higher than most of France.

Can't tell. Looks like one by your house, though.

GPS encoding in photographs posted online would be my guess.

Then you need the source of GPS encoding. It seems clear that it might be some source not available in France and maybe Ireland and probably available more so in the rest of Europe and more so than even the United States. I'm sure Flickr, Facebook, Google or Instagram would give you different results if you analyzed them.

They don't call it "Darkest Africa" for nothing.

Maybe they fine tuned that Lightning detector software the Weather channel uses to detect photo flashes?

I wonder if this made the list.

Mess with me and you mess with the whole trailer park.

                    Yeah, that's telling. And sad.

You can also see a difference (though not as extreme a difference) between Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

Switzerland and Austria and Northern Italy are the most spectacular awe inspiring and jaw dropping spectacles on Earth. Alps and Pyrennes. It is this photographers dream to go to Austria. My bucket list is topped by a 2 week bus tour that follows every step the "Band of Brothers" took in WWII.
