They are doing so much promotion for Anchorman 2 that I'm getting the impression it's gonna suck like most sequels. Ron Burgundy recently sat in on a local newscast in North Dakota... For crying out loud.

I just don't get the arrogant doofus routine being funny.

Peyton Manning thought it was funny. That was good enough for me.

I liked Blazing Saddles. I liked the Hangover series. I liked the Big Lebowski. I like the Anchorman.

I don't like all of Will Ferrel's movies but Anchorman is a home run. I never get tired of it. Crossing my fingers that the sequel isn't a dud. Its supposed to have some interesting and hilarious cameos.
To a New Yorker like yourself, a hero is some type of weird sandwich. Not some nut who takes on three Tigers!

Sequels are never as funny as the original; the only exception is 'Godfather II.'

Wait... "The Hangover series." Are you saying that you liked Hangover 2??

I'm with you on three out of four. I guess maybe its just the Will Ferrel I don't like. He's HUGELY OVERATED! IMO

                      You're hugely over-rated. It's science.

Given that his highest Rotten Tomatoes score is 84% and about half of his movies fall in the 60s and 70s I would say you are mistaken.

Yes, Godfather 2 was just as funny as the original

Seriously, that might be the only one when the first one was already a masterpiece.

But, I think Road Warrior was just as good as Mad Max and Aliens on par with the original, same with Terminator 2.

Also, by far, Wrath of Khan kicks the original and all others after it by a country mile.

Jokes aren't nearly as funny when you have to explain them....

The man is not talented IMO. I don't see how he made it big as he's nowhere near as funny as Belushi, Ackroyd, Murphy or even Joe Piscopo. And to top it off he's a U$C shill.
