  • Helicopter Crashes into Glasgow Pub

(Reuters) - A helicopter crashed into a pub in Glasgow on Friday, causing multiple injuries, the BBC reported on its website. BBC News quoted Member of Parliament Jim Murphy as saying: "It's a well established Glasgow pub. It's a horrible, horrible scene, but well done to the folk who were here. Everyone formed a chain of people from inside the pub to outside, and the fire brigade and everyone were here very quickly." The BBC named the pub as the Clutha Vaults in Stockwell Street.

BBC now saying it was a police helicopter with three on board. No mention of casualties.

It happened at 11:25 PM local time, I hope there weren't many people in the pub.

It was breaking news on the Fox outlet in Tampa last night and they were repeating what you two are reporting plus people trapped in the pub...

This morning CNN is reporting 1 dead, 32 injured and an unknown number of people still trapped in the pub.

BBC just updated this story a few minutes ago...8 confirmed dead and 14 serious injuries. There were 120 people in the pub when the crash occurred, it's a miracle there wasn't more deaths and injuries.

Eight people have died and 14 people are in hospital after a police helicopter crashed into a busy pub in Glasgow.
