The Breeders Cup

The Breeders Cup is Friday and Saturday.

Mrs. Numb made plans for us Friday night---dinner, show, hotel room to spare us the , ahem, drive back.
So I noted that we would be coming home first thing Saturday morning.
No, she wanted to go to Pasadena to do a little shopping.
"That's not going to happen."
"Why not?"
"Saturday is the Breeders Cup."
"Cant you record it?"

"Oh. OK. No problem."

As much as Mrs.dirt loves Santa Anita, if I pointed the hotrod West instead of East, she'd probably divorce me.
